Catelyn had never liked this godswood.

She had been born a Tully, at Riverrun farto the south, on the Red Fork of the Trident. The godswood there was a garden,bright and airy, where tall redwoods spread dappled shadows across tinklingstreams, birds sang from hidden nests, and the air was spicy with the scent offlowers.

Four hundred years old it was, and as sharp as theday it was forged. The name it bore was older still, a legacy from the age ofheroes, when the Starks were Kings in the North.

Dread coiled within her like a snake, but she forcedherlf to smile at this man she loved, this man who put no faith in signs. “Iknew that would plea you,” she said. “We should nd word to your brother onthe Wall.”

It sounds as though Robert is bringing half hiscourt.”

小指頭并不是不明白，怎么辦他沒有心境把聰明才智放在一個(gè)領(lǐng)地一個(gè)城堡，倡寮也只不過是他搜集情報(bào)趁便斂財(cái)?shù)氖址?/strong>。他貪求太大，期望在紊亂中鑄造天梯，一舉摘下最高最大的果實(shí)，坐上鐵王座，為此再三制作他操控不了的政治紊亂。
《冰與火之歌》里的獵狗死了沒有？
獵狗（Sandor Clegane）是“冰火”里較具爭議性的人物之一，其生死也成為一個(gè)謎團(tuán)，有人聲稱獵狗并未死去，如冰火中文維基就有一個(gè)專門的頁面（ 維基鏈接 ），指出第四卷中布蕾妮在寂靜島上碰到的“掘墓者”就是獵狗。但我不同意這個(gè)觀點(diǎn)。
首先，獵狗死過一次
在Random Hou出的《冰與火的世界》（WOIAF） 官方app 中，明確指出獵狗已經(jīng)死于河間地（Riverlands）。
當(dāng)然，由于小說中魔法的存在，也有貝里伯爵（Beric Dondarrion）、凱特琳（Catelyn）死而復(fù)生的例子，比如在凱特琳的條目下，雖然明確說明她死于孿河城（Twins），但在后文中也指出，貝里伯爵犧牲自己而使凱特琳復(fù)活，成為后來的石心夫人。
因此，獵狗的死是毫無疑問的，剩下的問題在于，獵狗是否復(fù)活了？對(duì)此，我傾向于否定。

此外，在冰火中，目前所見的復(fù)活都來自于“七神”以外，要么是信仰拉赫洛的紅袍僧、要么是長城之外的異鬼、要么是源自亞廈的血魔法。在安達(dá)爾人帶來“七神”信仰后，高階魔法在維斯特洛似乎毫無用武之地。比如在《列王的戰(zhàn)爭》第二十九章中，魯溫學(xué)士對(duì)布蘭進(jìn)行了有關(guān)魔法的科普。
總之，魔法作為一種遠(yuǎn)古的力量，由于種種原因在維斯特洛已經(jīng)衰落了，僅僅在長城之外、“光明之心”、頸澤等少數(shù)幾個(gè)原生態(tài)的地方能夠發(fā)揮作用，對(duì)此，我想寂靜島上的長老不大可能掌握這么高端的技能。
題外話，凱特琳變成石心夫人后再也沒有以POV視角出現(xiàn)過，也讓我們無從知道其現(xiàn)在的心理狀態(tài)，是否還清楚自己的身份或已然僅僅是一臺(tái)復(fù)仇機(jī)器?；蛘?，馬丁認(rèn)為她是不是凱特琳已經(jīng)不重要了。
