現在很多人的生活都離不開電腦和手機，

每天盯著屏幕工作、娛樂，

視力也很容易變差，到處都是戴眼鏡的人，

那么，你知道該如何用英語來表達“眼鏡度數”嗎？

很多同學的第一反應是不是“glass degree”？

但這個表達是錯誤的！

不是所有的“度數”都能用“degree”！

“degree”可以表示“數量；程度；水平”，它還有“度，度數”的意思。

但是它尤指溫度或角度的度量單位，通常在數字后用符號°來表示。

“degree”有兩個比較常用的表達，寫作和口語中都可以用到。

從某種程度上來講我認為那是對的，但是影響這種局面的還有其他因素。

如果是說眼睛近視的度數，我們可以說“dioptre”[da??ɑ?pt?r]，

它的意思是“屈光度，折光度”

近視度數 = Negative Diopters

遠視度數 =Positive Diopters

而近視的醫學專業術語是Myopia，但日常生活中，大家會說：nearsighted / shortsighted

dioptre: a unit of measurement of the power of a lens, ud for measuring a person's eyesight

A typical short-sighted person in Britain is -4.5 dioptres.

在英國，典型的近視眼是 -4.5屈光度。

shortsighted/nearsighted 近視

這兩個詞都是“近視”，前者是英式英語，后者是美式英語。

隨著年齡的增長，你可能變得近視。

He is so nearsighted that he can just e the things put before his eyes.

他的眼睛近視得厲害，放到眼底下才看得清。

astigmatism 散光，散視

This demonstrates a lack of significant astigmatism[??st?ɡm?t?z?m].

這表明沒有明顯的散光。

有些朋友可能不近視，反而有點遠視，遠視用英語該怎么說呢？

hyperopia/long-sighted/far-sighted 遠視

Examples of refractive error are myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

屈光不正的例子有近視、遠視和散光。

presbyopia 老花眼，老年遠視

One person's reading glass for presbyopia[?prezbi?o?pi?] can be the same as another's distance glass.

一個人的老花眼眼鏡可能和另一個人的遠視眼鏡是一樣的。

如何詢問和回答“眼鏡度數”？

因為在國外，配眼鏡是一種醫學行為

所以問別人眼睛度數的時候，可以說：

What's your eyeglass preion?（preion這里指“眼鏡度數”）

What is your eyesight?

How strong are your glass?

而回答“我近視/遠視300度”，可以說：

I am nearsighted/farsighted with 3.0 diopters.

或者直接說：

3.0 diopters（300度）

“度數深淺”如何表達？

詢問度數深淺，其實是想問近視是否嚴重。

可以用：sightly / extremel輕微 /嚴重

I'm extremely nearsighted，my eyesight is getting wor.

我近視很嚴重，視力越來越差。
