GMAT數學概念和名詞大全

quartile就是小于median的所有數的median; hehe就是將所有的統(tǒng)計標本按順序排列;再從頭到尾分為個數相同的4堆quartile就是第一堆的最后一個;或是第二堆的第一個題目中;50個數;一定知道m(xù)edian是第25個或第26個同樣;quartile是第12或是13個;the third quartile當然是37或是38個至于到底是37還是38;GRE不會為難你的;這兩個數肯定一樣

對Quartile的說明：Quartile四分位數：

第0個Quartile實際為通常所說的最小值MINimum

第1個QuartileEn：1st Quartile

第2個Quartile實際為通常所說的中分位數中數、二分位分、中位數：Median

第3個QuartileEn：3rd Quartile

第4個Quartile實際為通常所說的最大值MAXimum

我想大家除了對1st、3rd Quartile不了解外;對其他幾個統(tǒng)計量的求法都是比較熟悉的了;而求1st、3rd是比較麻煩的;下面以求1rd為例:

設樣本數為n即共有n個數;可以按下列步驟求1st Quartile：

1將n個數從小到大排列;求n-1/4;設商為i;余數為j

2則可求得1st Quartile為：第i+1個數4-j/4+第i+2個數j/4

例已經排過序啦：

1.設序列為{5};只有一個樣本則：1-1/4 商0;余數0

1st=第1個數4/4+第2個數0/4=5

2.設序列為{1;4};有兩個樣本則：2-1/4 商0;余數1

1st=第1個數3/4+第2個數1/4=1.75

3.設序列為{1;5;7};有三個樣本則：3-1/4 商0;余數2

1st=第1個數2/4+第2個數2/4=3

4.設序列為{1;3;6;10};四個樣本：4-1/4 商0;余數2 1st=第1個數1/4+第2個數3/4=2.5

5.其他類推

因為3rd與1rd的位置對稱;這是可以將序列從大到小排即倒過來排;再用1rd的公式即可求得：

例各序列同上各列;只是逆排：

1.序列{5};3rd=5

2.{4;1};3rd=43/4+11/4=3.25

3.{7;5;1};3rd=72/4+52/4=6

4.{10;6;3;1};3rd=101/4+63/4=7

ETS明確規(guī)定Percentile是一定要求的一個統(tǒng)計量;不知道有沒有G友遇到過關于Percentile的數學題;因為Percentile的計算比較復雜;所以我在此對Percentile的求法詳述;以方便G友：

Percentile: percent below用概念來說沒什么用;而且易讓人糊涂;所以在此我歸納出一個公式以供G友參考..

設一個序列供有n個數;要求k%的Percentile：

1從小到大排序;求n-1k%;記整數部分為i;小數部分為j

2所求結果＝1－j第i＋1個數＋j第i+2個數

特別注意以下兩種最可能考的情況： 1j為0;即n-1k%恰為整數;則結果恰為第i+1個數

2第i+1個數與第i+2個數相等;不用算也知道正是這兩個數..

注意：我前面提到的Quartile也可用這種方法計算;

其中1st Quartile的k%=25%

2nd Quartile的k%=50%

3rd Quartile的k%=75%

計算結果一樣..

例：注意一定要先從小到大排序的;這里已經排過序啦

｛1;3;4;5;6;7;8;9;19;29;39;49;59;69;79;80｝共16個樣本

130%：16-130%=4.5=4+0.5

1-0.5第5個數＋0.5第6個數=0.56+0.57=6.5

275%：1575%=11.25=11+0.25 3rd Quartile

1-0.25第12個數+0.25第13個數=0.7559+0.2569＝51.5

關于2-HEIGHT 題

2-height 題是GMAT數學部分?？嫉囊粋€題型.因為題中會給出一個關于2-height的定義; 所以G友通常稱之為2-height題.

舉個例子吧;40=2225;即2的三次方乘以5;3就是2-height 的值;

再如12=223;即2的二次方乘以3;所以2就是2-height 的值..

總的來說;就是把一個整數分解成質數的乘積;其中2的冪就是2-height

的值..
