《尼爾斯騎鵝旅行記》是瑞典的一個著名女作家塞爾瑪·拉格洛夫寫得一本長篇小說，是世界上唯一一部獲得諾貝爾文學獎的童話作品。

這本書的主人公尼爾斯出生于瑞典南部的一個小農莊，他生性頑皮，不愛讀書，喜歡各種惡作劇。有一天，他無意間冒犯了一個小精靈，小精靈一氣之下把他變成了一個拇指大的小人兒。正當他驚異于自身變化的時候，家里的雄鵝莫頓感受到大雁的呼喚，想與大雁一齊飛行。為了挽留莫頓，尼爾斯緊緊地摟住了他的脖子。不料，莫頓將他帶上了天空。于是，尼爾斯騎在鵝背上，跟隨大雁開始了他的旅行。

尼爾斯和雄鵝、大雁阿卡和它的大雁們參加了鶴之舞表演大會，偶遇小灰雁鄧芬，幫助鵝姑娘和小馬茨在湖面脫險，把烏普薩拉的大學生的手稿找回來；把渡鴉巴塔基從一個屋子里救出來，挫開鋼絲救老鷹高爾果，從強盜手里救下了松鼠西爾萊的妻子；殺死了殘暴的烏鴉首領黑旋風；從狐貍斯密爾的嘴里救下了一只大雁。

最后，他們飛往了威曼豪格——尼爾斯的家。在他的爸爸媽媽要殺掉雄鵝莫頓和灰雁鄧芬的時候不顧一切跑向屋子，捶著大門，解救了鄧芬和莫頓，而且自己也變回了原樣，而且長得更高了。

讀完這本書，我想：如果我也是一個小人，我也會跟著大雁一起到全國各地旅行，學習更多知識，知道古代文化！

The Wonderful Adventures of Nils by Selma Lagerl?f

Once there was a boy. He was, let us say, something like

fourteen yearsold; long and loo-j ointed and towheaded. He wasn't

good for much, thatboy. His chief delight was to eat and sleep; and

after that, he liked best tomake mischief.

When Nils catches an elf inside a butterfly-snare, the elf takes

revenge bycasting a spell that turns Nils into the same size as himlf.

After that, theboy is carried away by one of his farm’ s tame gee,

who decided to j ointhe wild gee's asonal migration.

Soon enough, Nils realizes that, being the size he is now, he can

no longerafford to be cruel to animals. His new-found kindness is at

first a survivalstrategy, but it quickly becomes a conviction, and Nils is

deeply the gee carry Nils on their annual migration to

Lapland, they fly overthe veral provinces of Sweden, other than the

gee, Nils meets wildducks, a dangerous fox, crows, mice, and even

an eagle. He discovers thatnow that he is elf-sized, he can

understand the language of animals, andhe can talk to them.

Being small, Nils can listen to humans talking without being en,

and heoften overhears people telling stories about the provinces they

live ’s the tale of the old woman who died alone on a

mi-abandonedfarm, there’s the sad story of Osa, the goo girl, and

her brother Mats,there’s the story of the old musician from Stockholm

and the king.
