Caus and Effects of Water Pollution

After learning the text

Beware the Dirty Seas,

I began to realize

the riousness of water pollution. As the author said, water pollution

can be caud from many sources and creates lots of bad effects. So in

this essay, I’m going to talk about the caus and effects of water

pollution.

Although water pollution can be caud by lots of things, I think

the main cau of water pollution is overpopulation. Nowadays, the

world’s population is becoming larger and larger. In order to live a

better life, people need urbanized cities to live in. So the governments

began to urbanize their cities. In this way, industrial waste water came

out. It’s easy to understand that more people create more garbage, more

domestic wage. Especially everyone los hairs when they are taking a

shower. And this kind of garbage will sink through the wer and make the

water be polluted.

Except overpopulation, there are many other ways can cau water

pollution. First, the industrial chemicals created in factories and

offices. Industrial chemicals in wastewater may include anything from

solvents to metals. And they can cau cancers or any other dia. They

can do nothing good for our human being. Second, storm water can cau

water pollution. Rains washes pollution from the soil, streets, and other

surfaces into storm drains, which empty into rivers or the harbor. This

kind of water is very hard to clean up. Third, Animals may contribute to

water pollution when their droppings enter into the water stream. Also,

animals may erode stream banks, breaking down natural pollution barriers.

Fertilizer, pesticides, and even irrigation may contribute to pollution.

Excess fertilizer, incticides and weed killers may all wash down into

the wage system or into the ground water or surface water which then

flows into rivers, lakes, or the ocean.

Then we should talk about the effects water pollution caud. Only

by knowing this, can we deeply understand the importance of protecting

water.

The worst conquence water population caud is the harm to human

health. People can’t live without water, every time they drink they think

the water is clean enough. But the fact is not like what they think. The

bacteria and harmful substance can’t be en by our naked eyes. So it’s

easy for people to drink unclean water without knowing that, and be taken

badly ill.

Another situation is some people don’t have clean water to drink.

People live in remote area in China still can’t drink clean water just

becau of the water pollution. Over-urbanization creates countless

industrial chemicals into rivers, which is the only access for people in

remote area to drink. Moreover, the industrial chemicals can also make

the quality of industrial products become lower and lower.

In addition, many creatures living in the water may die out becau

the food tho creatures eat can be polluted by the polluted water. This

situation can cau a great decrea of marine products, which are means

of livelihood of lots of fishermen.

Water pollution is a tough problem in the 21th century

environmental problems, and what are said above can help us to build enough

awareness of the protection of water. Everyone should try their best to

do that.
