英語中的基數詞和序數詞

一、基數詞

表示數目的詞稱為基數詞，要掌握英語中的基數詞，必須做

到以下幾點：

1） 掌握100以內基數詞的英語表達法。

1 one 11 eleven 21 twenty-one

2 two 12 twelve 29 twenty-nine

3 three 13 thirteen 30 thirty

4 four14 fourteen 40 forty

5 five15 fifteen50 fifty

6 six 16 sixteen60 sixty

7 ven 17 venteen70 venty

8 eight 18 eighteen 80 eighty

9 nine19 nineteen 90 ninety

10 ten 20 twenty 100 one hundred

2）100以內的基數詞中，數字13—19的詞尾都是teen，

20—90（僅指整十位數）的詞尾都是ty。

3）注意區別英語中的“十幾”和“幾十”的重音區別。以

teen收尾的數詞有兩個重音，以ty收尾的數詞只第一音節有重音，

例如：thirteen讀成[``ti:n],twenty讀成[`twenti],sixteen讀成

[`siks`ti:n],sixty讀成 [`siksti]。

4）至于英語中的多位數，將在后面的“多位數數字與電話號

碼”中提到。

二、序數詞

表示數目順序的詞稱為序數詞。在聽力測驗中，有時會出現關于

序數詞的題目，考生應特別注意。

1）在1至20的數字中，one,two,three的序數詞分別為first,

cond, third。其它序數詞都是在基數詞后加上th構成，但必須注

意一些特殊的序數詞的拼法和讀音，如：five—fifth,eight—

eighth,nine—ninth,twelve—twelfth,twenty—twentieth.

2）twenty以上整十位數序數詞是將ty中的y變為i再加

thirtieth[[``tii ]（由雙音節變為三音節）

3）注意第二十一等序數詞的表示法。例如：

第二十一：twenty-first

第三十三：thirty-third

第四十五：fourty-fifth
