“空白”與意義未定性理論辨析

摘 要
伊瑟爾從微觀的閱讀活動出發,把個人的閱讀行為作為研究對象,認為閱讀活動是讀者和本文之間動態的相互作用的過程。在此基礎上他提出了“空白”與“意義未定性”理論,認為讀者在閱讀過程中文本中會產生許多“空白”,即“不確定點”,讀者只有不斷地填補“空白”,才能完成整個閱讀“體驗”過程,而且他認為
每個讀者閱讀同一部文本時的“體驗”都是不同的,即使同一個讀者在不同時刻閱讀同一部文本的“體驗”也是不同的,從這個角度來看,伊瑟爾所提出的“意義”是“未定性”的。但是,本文認為個體讀者肯定是處在一定歷史和社會關系中的讀者,他不得不受到整個歷史和社會因素的影響。而且作品的“意義”并不是由某一個讀者的“體驗”所決定,個體讀者的“體驗”只能算作“意味”,而“意義”是個體讀者所處的社會在接受過程中產生的。本文就是要把個體讀者放在整個宏觀的社會背景下,在歷時和共時的維度來討論“意義”的生成是否具有“未定性”。從歷時的角度來看,“意義”是具有“未定性”的,但我們不可能站在“過去”中去評價作品,只能從一個“共時的橫斷面”中去評價作品。在這個共時的橫斷面中,整個社會的“文化心理結構”是相似的,而且作為文本和讀者之間的交流工具——“語言符號”也是由共時橫斷面的社會“約定俗成”的,所以“意義”在共時的橫斷面上不具有“未定性”。

Abstract

However, this paper argues that the individual readers must be in a certain historical and social relations, and he had the readers by the whole history and social influences. And the "meaning" works by a reader is not determined by the "experience", the readers' "experience" can only be considered as "means" and "means" is its social readers in accept produces in the process. This paper is to the individual reader in the entire macroscopic social background, in the synchronic and diachronic dimension to the discussion of whether the "meaning" has indeterminacy. From diachronic perspective, "meaning" is " indeterminacy ", but we can't stand in the past, only to evaluate from a "works cross-ctional" synchronic to evaluation works.
