A group of 10 high-profile figures and common citizens gifted with wisdom, bravery and

tenacity(頑強), including Nobel Prize-winning physicist Yang Zhenning, China's

legendary sprinter Su Bingtian, as well as China's space community, were honored as

inspirational role models in this year's Touching China awards announced by China Central

Television on Thursday.

在中國中央電視臺周四舉行的今年感動中國頒獎典禮上，包括諾貝爾獎獲得者物理學家楊振寧、中國傳

奇短跑運動員蘇炳添和中國航天人在內的10位備受矚目的人物和普通公民，因其智慧、勇敢和頑強被

Renowned Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Yang Zhenning, became the first Chine-American scientist who applied to return to China after

the US just lifted the ban on visits to China in 1971. Yang also sponsored hundreds of Chine scholars to further their studies in the US

through a committee for education exchanges he established in New York. The talents later became the backbone of the construction of

China.

Another nominee was Su Bingtian, the first Chine sprinter to compete in the men's 100-meter sprint final at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic

Games.

At the age of 32, he shocked the world by finishing first in his group with a time of 9.83 conds on the mi-final, 0.08 conds faster than

Zhu Yanfu lost his hands, his left eye and both legs below the knee in a battle during the Korean War in the 1950s. He was just 17. After he

went back to his hometown and opened a gave lessons to local illiterate villagers for five years and helped develop the villages.

This year's Touching China awards also focud on China's space community for opening new horizons in the starry ocean of

the cosmos, including building China's own space station, a smooth interplanetary travel and landing beyond the Earth-Moon

This year's recipients of the awards also include Peng Shilu, first chief designer of China's nuclear

The couple Zhang Shundong and Li Guoxiu overcame their physical difficulties, beating all the odds to build a family

and lift themlves out of poverty. When they lifted the Touching China trophy they endeared themlves to millions of

people!

“互為手足”的張順東、李國秀夫妻二人在29年中，通過一只手，一雙腳養大一雙兒女，互相扶持，脫貧致富。

夫妻共用一手雙腳相濡以沫29載，他的一只手，有力氣也有“頭腦”；她的一雙腳，能切菜煮飯、能寫字繡花、

Gu songfen 顧誦芬

The renowned aircraft designer, who won the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award , is the only person in

the country's aviation industry to hold membership of both the Chine Academy of Sciences and the Chine

Academy of Engineering.

顧誦芬：獲得國家卓越科學技術獎的著名飛機設計師，是中國航空工業中唯一同時擁有中國科學院和中國工程院院士的

人。

He pioneered the aerodynamic design of aircraft, which advanced the development of a number of major jet fighters,

including the Nanchang CJ-6, a basic training plane, and the Shenyang J-8, a high-speed, high-altitude single-at

interceptor.

Tho aircraft not only greatly improved China's air defen capabilities but also laid the cornerstone of its aviation

industry.

1930年，顧誦芬出生在江蘇。兒時的他曾目睹日本飛機轟炸，立志投身航空事業報國。報考大學時，他填寫的

所有專業都是航空系；學成之后，他主持研制殲8系列戰斗機，開創了我國自主研制殲擊機的先河。#殲8首飛

Janis Chan, the Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) host who acts as a guide for audiences in the

documentary No Poverty Land.

陳貝兒是香港電視廣播有限公司的主持人，同時也是紀錄片《無窮之路》的主持人。

It is the wish of the team to allow the people to understand more about the Chine mainland. They want to show real

life, the remote villages, and the journey out of poverty. The team described the poverty alleviation they saw in China

as "a miracle", a success achieved by grassroots governments and local residents through years of hard work. Now

they want to show this miracle to the world.

【事跡】

2021年，香港媒體人陳貝兒用12集高分紀錄片《無窮之路》，記錄下內地扶貧故事。為探究懸崖村易地搬遷

的原因，有恐高癥的她來回2次攀爬鋼梯，身體一度抖得不行；為呈現真實她舉著自拍桿溜索過江，體驗交通

扶貧給村民帶來的變化。

高原生命的保護神

氣，不缺志氣；海拔高，目標更高。在高原上，你守望一條路，開辟了一條路。

Wu Tianyi is the only member of the Chine Academy of Engineering living in Northwest China's Qinghai province.

吳天一是中國工程院唯一一名住在中國西北青海省的院士。

【事跡】

1958年，他剛下朝鮮戰場又上青藏高原。因目睹戰友痛苦去世，吳天一下決心開展高原病學研究，一干就是60

余年。調研期間，他遭遇車禍，全身14處骨折；長期奔波中，他先后耳膜穿孔、雙眼白內障，患慢性高原心臟

病…但他說：“沒有這樣的獻出，不會有這樣的獲得。”青藏鐵路建設期間，吳天一用縝密周全的方案，保障14

萬筑路大軍無一例因高原病死亡。致敬！

失聰女孩考上清華大學堂

Jiang Mengnan, a deaf Chine girl accepted to study doctorate at Tsinghua Universityin 2018.

Though life kept throwing Jiang more challenges, the positive woman regarded them as "gifts of fate."

盡管生活不斷給她帶來更多的挑戰，但積極的江夢南把它們看作是“命運的禮物”。

Jiang Mengnan's story is one of triumph over adversity. Deaf almost since birth, she has overcome myriad obstacles to

achieve her dream of studying for a PhD at one of China's most prestigious schools.

Peng played an indispensable role in developing and building China's first nuclear submarines.

彭士祿被譽為“中國核潛艇之父”。

彭士祿8歲和10歲時，曾作為“政治犯”被捕入獄。據介紹，當時的彭士祿被吊起來抽，放下來后還要挨踢；他

被折磨得根本站都站不起來，只能蹲著拉撒……“困難興邦，落難成才”，幼年吃過不少苦的彭士祿成長為國家的

脊梁。中國第一艘核潛艇、大亞灣核電站等等，彭士祿為核動力事業奉獻自己的一生，他說：“只要祖國需要，
