一提起端午節(jié)，人們就會想起吃粽子，劃龍舟。可是，同學們你

們知到“端午”是什么意思，端午節(jié)的風俗又是怎么來的嗎?

“端午”。“端”是“初”“始”的意思，所以陰歷五月初五稱

為“端午”。到了唐代，因為唐朝皇帝唐玄宇的生日是八月五日，為

了避用“五”字，就用回音“午”替換了“五”字，從此，“端五”

便改稱“端午”了。

汩羅江自盡。楚國百姓知道后，竟相劃船前去相救，但已來不及了，

百姓們擔心江中的魚，鱉，咬食屈原的遺體，便用竹殼裹米投入江中

喂魚。從此，劃龍舟，包粽子就是我們中國的風俗了。
