中國的供水與衛生情況正在經歷一次大規模轉型，同時也面臨著很多挑戰，諸如快速城市化、貧富差別和城鄉差別擴大等。水資源短缺和水污染也給中國帶來極大的挑戰。隨著社會的發展，人類對水的需求持續增加，但能夠供人類使用的水資源卻急劇減少。水資源危機所帶來的生態系統惡化的問題嚴重威脅著人類的生存。如何更有效地利用水資源，推動水資源的可持續開發和保護，已經成為世界各國共同面對的緊迫問題。

1.水資源短缺和水污染也給中國帶來極大的挑戰：需注意其中動詞“帶來”的譯法，可譯為bring about和po,但po更適合嚴肅正式的文體，其表示“造成、招致”時，后面一般接表*脅、危險、挑戰等消極意義的詞。如：po athreat,po a problem等。

2.水資源危機所帶來的生態系統惡化的問題嚴重威脅著人類的生存：關鍵在于“生態系統惡化的問題”的定語“水資源危機所帶來的”的譯法。參考譯文中使用過去分詞做后置定語，代替定語從句，顯得更為簡潔。
