《敘述學》是一門思考文學普遍問題的人文學科課程 , 敘述學以敘事作品（主要是小說）為研究對象，發掘小說的內在結構的規律，探求小說的形成因素，力圖解釋小說從文字、語言信息到藝術作品的奧秘。敘述學認為作品是一個完整自足的體系，有其獨特的結構層次。如基本敘述單位及其相互關系的功能層；描述人物活動及其分類的行動層；研究敘述人、作者和讀者關系的敘述層。代表人物有羅蘭·巴特、托多羅夫、熱奈特等。通過學習，敘述學課主要培養學生成為具有高度敘述素質和實際應用能力的文學專業人才，包括學生的媒介素質、語言素質、形式素質、情感素質、想象素質、思想素質、研究素質。

Narratology is a humanities cour reflecting on the common problems of literature, and it mainly takes the specific principle of literature, the conceptual category, and the relevant scientific methods as its rearch objects; and the philosophic methodology as the gener
al guidance, to t forth the property, characteristics and rules of literature from theoretical height and macroscopic vision, and meanwhile, dig the life experience, and value pursuit prented by literature; and then take specific works, writers, and literary phenomena as individual cas, to conduct certain universality generalization in the analysis of specific texts. Through the study, the cour of Introduction to Literature can mainly cultivate students to become talents of literature major, with high aesthetic appreciation, cultural quality and actual application capacity, including the students’ media quality, language element, form quality, emotional quality, imagination quality, ideological quality and rearch quality.
三、課程性質與教學目的
本課程屬于學科基礎課，是漢語言文學專業的必修課程。通過敘述學課的學習，學生應當初步并系統地了解與掌握敘述學的基本理論觀點和基礎知識以及文學敘述理論的主要命題，概念、范疇等。通過敘述學課程的學習，學生要學會運用馬克思主義、毛澤東思想和新時代思想的立場、觀點和方法，培養學生具有一定的分析文學作品的能力，提高綜合人
文素質。正確地分析古今中外的各種文學現象；為學生學習其他文學課程，開展文學實踐活動（創作與接受，尤其是如何創作出有新時代中國特色的中國故事）以及從事語文教學、文化教育等方面的工作奠定初步的理論基礎。
