公共場所雙語標(biāo)識英文譯法景區(qū)景點

1.1 旅游景點通名

地名通名通常采用英文直接翻譯，英文單詞首字母大寫，其余小寫。

1.1.1 植物園譯為 Botanical Garden，如北京植物園Beijing Botanical Garden。

1.1.2 博物館

1.1.2.1 一般名稱譯為xxxx Muum, Muum放在最后，如歷史博物館 History Muum。

1.1.2.2 某機構(gòu)的博物館譯為xxxx Muum of xxxx(機構(gòu)名)， 如大鐘寺古鐘博物館Ancient Bell

Muum of Great Bell Temple。

1.1.3 紀(jì)念館

1.1.3.1 歷史名人的紀(jì)念館譯為Memorial，人名不加’s， 如吳運鐸紀(jì)念館Wu Yunduo Memorial。

1.1.3.2 歷史事件或事跡的紀(jì)念館譯為Memorial Muum，如新文化運動紀(jì)念館 New Culture

Movement Memorial Muum。

1.1.4 故居譯為Former Residence，如宋慶齡故居 Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling。

1.1.5 展覽館、陳列館譯為Exhibition Hall/Exhibition Center，會展中心譯為Convention & Exhibition

Center。

1.1.6 陳列室譯為 Exhibition Room/Display Room。

1.1.7 宮、院譯為Palace， 如頤和園 Summer Palace。有些宮譯為 Hall， 如乾清宮 Hall of Heavenly

Purity。

1.1.8 殿、堂譯為 Hall， 如太和殿 Hall of Supreme Harmony、樂壽堂 Hall of Longevity in

Happiness。

1.1.9 寺譯為Temple， 如云居寺 Yunju Temple。

1.1.10 亭、閣譯為Pavilion， 如寄瀾亭 Jilan Pavilion。

1.1.11 一般的塔譯為Pagoda，如五塔寺 Five-Pagoda Temple；藏式塔譯為Dagoba,如白塔寺的白

塔 White Dagoba。

1.1.12 牌樓譯為Memorial Archway。

1.1.13 高山譯為 Mountain， 如太行山 Taihang Mountain或Mt. Taihang。比較小的山、山丘等譯

為 Hill, 如萬壽山 Longevity Hill。

1.1.14 島譯為 Island， 如南湖島South Lake Island。

1.1.15 湖譯為 Lake, 如昆明湖 Kunming Lake。

1.1.16 橋譯為 Bridge, 如玉帶橋 Jade Belt Bridge。

1.1.17 器皿譯為～ware，如青銅器Bronzeware、玉器Jadeware。

1.1.18 朝代名譯為拼音，如漢朝Han Dynasty，但朝代名中包含的方位詞應(yīng)譯成英文，如西周Western

Zhou Dynasty、西漢Western Han Dynasty。

1.2 專名

1.2.1 專用名詞作為旅游區(qū)標(biāo)志，指向內(nèi)容為特定場所時則采用英文，如天壇Temple of Heaven。

1.2.2 采用被社會普遍接受的名稱。如頤和園 Summer Palace。

1.3 經(jīng)營類信息

通常采用英文直接翻譯，應(yīng)符合國際通用慣例。如旅游紀(jì)念品商店Souvenir Shop，禮品店 Gift

Shop。
